Prioritization of SDG targets

The EDS Institute, through DTI-ODD project, wants to encourage the sharing and use of tools that facilitate and guide the integration of the SDGs in local decisions.

The Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable (IFDD), as an operating partner of the DTI-ODD project, has deployed its diagnostic tools for the local implementation of the SDGs: the SDG target prioritization grid (SDG-TPG) and the sustainability analysis grid (SS-DAG). These tools were developed thanks to a strategic partnership between the International Organization of La Francophonie through its subsidiary body I 'Institut de la Francophonie pour le développement durable, the Chaire en éco-conseil de l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and the Global Shift Institute.  These two grids have long been recognized and promoted by the United Nations and widely used in the French-speaking context. The IFDD and its partners have also produced manuals that accompany each of the grids in order to facilitate their use.

The SDG target prioritization grid (SDG-TPG) was used as part of the DTI-ODD project to start the support processes for the City of Baie-Saint-Paul and the City of La Malbaie. The City of Quebec also used it to develop its strategic plan for sustainable development.

The SDG-TPG  is a tool for information and participatory prioritization of the SDG targets with a view to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals at all levels: at the local level (municipalities, municipalities, cities, departments, etc.), national or regional, as well as in companies, public administrations, sub-regional organizations and those of civil society.

Thanks to the DTI-ODD project, the SDG target prioritization grid (SDG-TPG), the sustainability analysis grid (SS-DAG) and their respective user manuals are now also available in English.
